Maui Recording Artist Murray Thorne To Release New EP "Deconstruction Zone"

Known to Maui audiences for his impassioned performances, notably as the frontman for local Maui band Celtic Tigers and for his presentation of In The Flesh, a live solo performance of Pink Floyd's The Wall, musician Murray Thorne's latest alternative rock release Deconstruction Zone contains 6 songs that were written and produced at his home studio on Maui, Hawaii. The EP (short album) features "Sound Barrier" and "Laughing in the Face of Success" which were both released as singles earlier in 2023. "Sound Barrier" was immediately picked up and put on hot rotation by Maui's STAR 95 FM. It has also been added to Pandora and college radio alternative rock playlists.

"I didn't realize at first, how much recent world events had influenced my songwriting"

Inspired by recent social renaissance and polarization, the songwriting on the album showcases Thorne's lyric style which is thoughtful, dark and sometimes satirical, against a background of upbeat guitar driven rhythms. It is undoubtably a rock album but has hints of his folk influences. He will be supporting the release with summer tour dates on the U.S. mainland, followed by shows in Hawaii.

Deconstruction Zone will be released under Murray's indie label PerSōnal Records and officially be available for download on July 14, 2023. Pre-sales begin on July 1, 2023 on iTunes and Amazon Music. It will be available after its release on Spotify, YouTube, Pandora and all streaming platforms.
