Verse Daily Announces Winners of the Verse Daily Book Prize and Verse Daily Poem Prize

WARRENTON, Ore. - June 13, 2023 - PRLog -- Verse Daily is proud to announce that Maria Williams has won our first-ever Verse Daily Book Prize for her manuscript White Doe. We are also proud to announce our first-ever Verse Daily Poem Prize was won by Grant Clauser for his poem, "Blessings of a Dog" and is currently featured on our website, for your enjoyment.  Congratulations to both authors.

Maria Williams is the author of A Love Letter To Say There Is No Love (FutureCycle Press), a Pushcart Prize nominee, and the founding editor of Shape&Nature Press. Her work has appeared in Pank, Quarterly West, Bateau, Bellevue Literary Review, and Boxcar Poetry Review, among others, and is forthcoming in Allium, A Journal of Poetry and Prose. She received her MFA from Goddard College and writes, teaches, and mentors writers from her hometown in western Massachusetts. You can find more about Maria on Patreon.com/mariawilliams. Maria Williams prize awards are both copies of the published book and a $1000 cash prize.

Grant Clauser is the author of several books, including Muddy Dragon on the Road to Heaven. His poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, Greensboro Review, Kenyon Review, and other journals. He lives in Pennsylvania where he works as an editor for a large media company, and also teaches poetry at Rosemont College. Grant Clauser won the $100 prize for his poem, "Blessings of a Dog" which appears on Verse Daily now.
