ALEXANDRIA, Va. - June 7, 2023 - PRLog -- Support the freelance editorial community and be a part of EFACON2023! Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Editorial Freelancers Association's upcoming international convention, August 17 – 19 in Alexandria, Virginia. The conference, featuring keynote speakers Dr. Cathy Hannabach, Cecilia Tan, and Ran Walker, will be held at the Westin Alexandria Old Town, marking the return of the in-person event for the EFA.

"EFACON 2023 is an exciting opportunity to learn, grow, network, and advance the profession of editorial freelancing," says Cody Sisco, EFA co-executive. "We're providing outstanding programming for our attendees and our sponsors will benefit from the attention of an eager, motivated audience."

Offering a rare opportunity for solopreneurs, the Editorial Freelancers Association Conference provides freelance editors, proofreaders, literary coaches, researchers, writers, and other editorial professionals with the chance to engage in networking, professional development, and camaraderie. EFACON 2023 is expected to draw hundreds of editorial freelancers from across North America and abroad.

Promote your business, your services, or yourself with a sponsorship package or choose from an à la carte menu of promotional opportunities. From individual exhibitor tables to full event support, a range of sponsorship levels are available.

Enhance the experience for conference-goers by sponsoring Wi-Fi, charging stations, a relaxation room, or even lunch. Support professional growth by sponsoring free professional headshots for participants or by funding scholarship support for conference tuition and the 2024 Ruth Mullen Memorial Scholarships.

Registration is already underway for the conference, which is open to EFA members and nonmembers alike. Sponsors will receive exposure at the three-day event and, depending on the level of sponsorship, will also be promoted directly to the EFA membership as well as on social media and across all EFA communications channels. For exhibitors, this is a unique opportunity for companies to showcase or demo products and tools, interact with conference-goers, and recruit freelancers.

Conference sessions will cover a broad range of topics, from enhancing technical editorial skills to building professionalism and business savvy. The trickier issues of the day will also be addressed, with sessions on diversity and inclusion, artificial intelligence in writing and editing, and dealing with problematic content. Dozens of diverse presentations, workshops, and panel discussions have already been confirmed and event content is still evolving. Sponsorship can offer you the opportunity to present your own content-rich session to conference-goers.

"EFACON 2023 has something for everyone!" says Katy Grenfell, EFA co-executive. "We are so excited to present around forty sessions for freelancers of every kind, along with meetups, networking opportunities, fabulous vendors, and more. Our three keynote speakers are out of this world. EFACON 2023: Belong Together, Inspire Together, Grow Together. We hope to see you there!"
