Follow on Google News | "Color + Abstraction" exhibition to Open at Royse Contemporary this month!By: Royse Contemporary As renowned artist Piet Mondrian once said, "abstract art is not the creation of another reality but the true vision of reality." These artists are utilizing abstraction as a form of expression as well as independence from artistic constraints as they explore their subject and medium. While the emphasis on color with either the inclusion or omission of within their work is important as there is often an emotional connection and response while viewing color. "Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions," said renowned artist, Pablo Picasso. Royse has assembled an intriguing collection of work by artists working in an array of mediums including painting, drawing, photography, and mixed media. This exhibition showcases the work of six noteworthy Arizona artists including: Cherie Buck-Hutchison Gerry Groeber, Joe Ray, Daniel Shepherd, Marilyn Szabo, Casey Wakefield. Each artist approaches their work in an original way, and we are delighted to bring this dynamic collection of work to Royse Contemporary.
