Woollystar Music Festival Returns for Weekend of Live Music, Film, and CampingWoollystar Music Festival 2023 to take place June 16-18 at Woollystar Ranch In Markleeville, California, 30 miles southeast of South Lake Tahoe
By: Woollystar Music Festival "We want to give people the space to enjoy the music and the beauty of the countryside," Woollystar features performances from The Brothers Comatose, Margo Cilker, Qiensave, The Coffis Brothers, Ismay, Jenner Fox, Agouti, The Live Oaks, Wreckless Strangers, and Grammy-nominated Mexican American roots group Los Cenzontles. A special screening of the film Space Happy, which portrays the pursuit of art against all odds and never giving up on one's dreams, takes place on Friday evening. Woollystar ends on Sunday with 'select' sets from up and coming area performers, and a guided nature walk where people learn about and connect with the local environment. Attendees have access to a range of amenities, including on-site camping, restrooms, and food and beverage options. Woollystar is donating 100% of proceeds from beverage sales to support the Alpine Watershed Group and Alpine Trails Association, two local nonprofits who work to protect, conserve and restore the public lands of Alpine County.
