This case involves two corporate factories with a straight-line distance of approximately one kilometer. Under normal circumstances, it is difficult to plan the cabling layout for cross-factory environments, which requires the rewiring. Using wireless networks to expand coverage can significantly reduce the effort and cost of initial deployment and subsequent management and maintenance.
In this case, Z-COM uses two high-power outdoor wireless access points for point-to-point (PTP) wireless high-speed transmission which can reach several kilometers so that the distance is no more a problem. They are installed on the rooftops or high places of the two corporate factories. By testing the height and angle of the network signals, and avoiding obstacles and environmental interference, there is no delay in receiving the original wireless network signals from the remote wireless access points. The two buildings share a broadband connection and resources, which can easily bridge the nearby branch network with limited budget and meet the needs of various environments to extend network signals.
