Atheists Helping the Homeless DC Call for Blog Writers

WASHINGTON - Nov. 27, 2022 - PRLog -- Atheists Helping the Homeless DC (AHHDC) is seeking blog post writers for their blog. The blog features articles of all types about homelessness.

Past stories have featured Encampments for People without Homes, A Music Teacher and Homelessness, Irreligious Organizations, Homelessness and Hunger, and many more.

The AHHDC is a group of humanist volunteers, but they cannot be just atheists. They are citizens. They are integral parts of our society and are proud to be your family, your friends, and your neighbors, and they want to help the community. They want to give, to learn, and to receive. They believe in basic human goodness.

The AHHDC distributes small hygiene items to those who cannot carry regular-sized items everywhere they go. The items are for people living on the street, out of a tent or car, in a shelter, or even couch surfing. In the past the AHHDC has distributed:

• Paper showers/full body wipes
• Gloves (in winter)
• Safety Razors with shaving cream
• Shampoo
• Soap
• Socks
