Former Boston News Anchor Jackie Bruno Launches Newsmaker Marketing
Three-time Emmy Award winner founded modern video, public relations and marketing agency to help New England businesses tell their stories in a visual and impactful way
BOSTON - Oct. 5, 2022 - PRLog -- Former Boston news anchor and three-time Emmy Award winning broadcast journalist, Jackie Bruno, is proud to announce the launch of Newsmaker Marketing, a modern video, public relations and marketing agency dedicated to helping local businesses tell their stories directly to their target audiences.
"Technology has changed how we consume news, and this has particularly impacted the television news industry," said Bruno, founder and CEO of Newsmaker Marketing. "Our goal through Newsmaker Marketing is to help clients get to the heart of their own stories. Since we are video production and storytelling experts, we can share those stories with their audiences in a way that doesn't depend on traditional news coverage."
Newsmaker Marketing is a team of former journalists who will serve as storyteller, video content creator, social media marketer and influencer for its clients, which range in industry, specialty and size, but all have meaningful stories to tell. Among Newsmaker Marketing's first clients are LunchDates, a Boston-based executive matchmaking service that is celebrating 40 years in business, McSea Books, a Maine-based, woman-owned children's book publisher and SchoolHouse Farms, a farm-to-table producer of distillation grains, gourmet popcorn, sunflower oils and kernels and lavender products.
The Newsmaker Marketing team will be led by Bruno, a native of Freetown, Mass., who spent more than a decade in news, including at WWLP in Springfield, Mass. and New England Cable News, where she was an eye-witness reporter to the Boston Marathon Bombing. In 2017, Bruno helped launch NBC Boston as the station's entertainment and lifestyle reporter, securing countless interviews with local and national celebrities, and covering the people and places that make Boston special. Bruno was also Miss Massachusetts USA 2008 and is the founder of The Connect-Her, a free organization to help women connect and support each other's personal and professional goals.
In 2022, Bruno made the difficult but important decision to take a step back from news and the public eye to focus on her mental health and family. During that time, she was inspired to create Newsmaker Marketing.
"Fifteen years ago, I set out to pursue my dream of being a news anchor in my home state of Massachusetts. I am so proud of what I accomplished while in news, but I want to publicly acknowledge the toll it took on my health and my ability to be the mother, wife and person I wanted to be," said Bruno. "Now, I have created a new dream job, and I am so thrilled to continue leveraging my creativity, passion for storytelling and vast network of media talent, celebrities and fellow storytellers to truly make a difference for our clients."
