Moab Adventure Center Inspires Travelers to Enjoy the Fall Colors on the Colorado River and Beyond

MOAB, Utah - Sept. 8, 2022 - PRLog -- Moab Adventure Center will help orchestrate an adventure of a lifetime between now and the end of October for everyone who wanders into the red rock playground known as Moab, Utah.

Those who linger here for a day or more can spend a half or a full day rafting a scenic stretch of one of America's iconic rivers, the Colorado.

Colorado River Rafting Moab: Morning Half-Day Adventure: This is a 4.25-hour, start-to-finish adventure with 2.5 hours on the water. Daily departures are at 8 a.m. The rate for adults is $85 and $70 for ages 5-12.

Colorado River Moab: Full-Day Rafting Trip with Exclusive BBQ Lunch: The total excursion is 7 hours with 5.5 hours on the water. The journey begins with a drive up one of the most scenic highways in the West before the raft is launched onto a spectacular stretch of the Colorado River, long favored by movie makers. This adventure includes a hot BBQ lunch with all the trimmings at the unique Red Cliffs Lodge lunch pavilion. The rate for adults is $124 and $102 for ages 5-12.

Colorado River Mid-Day Rafting Adventure with Exclusive BBQ Lunch: Raft 7 miles of the Colorado River from below Rocky Rapid to takeout beach. Enjoy an exclusive hot barbeque lunch and mild whitewater. Departures occur daily at 11:00 am.  The rate for adults is $102 and $84 for ages 5-12.

Each program offers guests a choice of a paddle boat, with everyone manning a paddle, or two-person inflatable kayaks. The rate for each trip includes a complimentary flip-top water bottle ($14 value), snacks, transportation to and from the river, complimentary hotel pickup available upon request, lifejackets, rafting equipment, and guides.

Moab's fall color season brings added benefits to visitors.  September and October temperatures average 82° F and 69° F respectively, with days usually dry and sunny and star-gazing clear nights. The water is warm and inviting for a swim, with temperatures nearing the mid-70's F. And Nature tosses in the piece de resistance: fall colors that embrace the banks of the river from late September through late October as massive cottonwoods and willows turn on yellows and oranges.
