About the Academy
The Academy Charter School is a high performing network of schools in the Long Island area. These tuition free public schools maintain a standard of excellence. The Academy Charter School first opened its doors in Hempstead, New York, in September 2009. New York State Education Department (NYSED) recently announced that in 2020, despite the pandemic, the school accomplished the exceptional graduation rate of 99%. Many of those scholars went on to higher learning institutions such as Harvard, NYU, Hofstra University, etc. In addition to The Academy's rigorous academic standards, scholars are also groomed to be socially conscious.
