Follow on Google News | Local Professional Football Player, Jeremy Hickey, signs with the Virginia Beach Armada (MLFB)By: Black Diamond PR, LLC Jeremy Hickey, a Michigan native, is a 6'5, 305 lb lineman who took his talents to Eastern Michigan University. He has been trained to play all five positions on the offensive line. Upon his graduation from EMU, he took his talents to the Spring League, where he turned heads. After the onset of COVID-19 he signed with the Bay Area Panthers in the IFL and then the Ottawa Redblacks in the CFL. In addition to his massive frame, his speed and agility were key signing traits for Virginia Beach. Jeremy has proven to be a skilled weapon on-the-field and will be a valued addition to the team in the upcoming season. "I am excited to be a part of a great team with like minded players who want to keep getting better and growing as players to reach the highest level of playing," said Hickey. The Virginia Beach Armada is one of four teams in the MLFB. The Armada will be coached by Terry Shea and play at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. Coach Shea is excited to coach this team and hopes to compete and win an MLFB championship this season. The Major League Football league is a professional American football minor league. 2022 will be the league's inaugural season with four teams; Virginia Beach Armada, Arkansas Attack, Ohio Force, and Alabama Airborne. The MLFB has been in the works since 2016. This was supposed to be their inaugural season but due to financial issues was not able to launch when they expected. All four teams will play in one host city; Mobile, AL. The MLFB hopes to have a great first season and be able to continue to grow in terms of teams and cities.
