For 40 years, Children's Dream Fund has been fulfilling dreams for children ages three through twenty-one living in West Central Florida who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The nonprofit has made more than 3,500 dreams come true since 1981. According to the nonprofit's leadership, the types of dreams vary as much as the personalities of the children served from puppies to playgrounds, cruises to computers, and vacations, to meeting with celebrities, and visiting major theme parks.
The fishing event was held on June 17 at Hula Bay Club in Tampa and entry fees per person or teams included boats, captains, and refreshments, to name a few. There were 60 participants who debarked from the dock to fish throughout Tampa Bay for prizes, catch and release contests, and keeping fish within local regulations. Numerous supporters were also in attendance at the venue and generously participated with sponsorships, in-kind, and cash donations.
The campaign is a part of Paul Davis' Social Purpose Initiative to serve through actions and charitable deeds, and where businesses and staff can touch and improve the lives of many who are not so fortunate.
