HenryQ Comics Seeks to Add Latino Representation in Entertainment With Exciting New Releases

BRONX, N.Y. - March 29, 2022 - PRLog -- With only 7% of lead roles in Hollywood represented by Latino actors and actresses - compared to the nearly 20% that make up the U.S. residents according to a 2019 Variety report - Latinos remain a major underrepresented population in the stories told across the entertainment industry. That's close to one-fifth of the country that is not seeing themselves reflected in the exciting narratives shared across the media.

HenryQ Comics is looking to help change that and give rise to the exciting Latino action hero genre.

Founded by Ralph Henriquez - a New York-based film producer, 3D animator, visual effects artist, comic book creator, and graduate of The School of Visual Arts and NYU - HenryQ Comics has set out to create and produce amazing characters and storylines that not only represent Latinos but also deliver powerful messages and build narratives that leave lasting positive impressions to be experienced by all ethnicities.

The company's first title, "Rage in the Shadows," introduces Federal Agent Angelica Garcia and her quest to find a cure for an unstable serum that not only grants her amazing heightened human abilities but is also slowly killing her.

Looking to expand upon its catalog, issue #1 of "Fuerza" was released in 2020. Following the story of a Puerto Rican woman, Jilliana Nieves, who is endowed with superhuman powers to help stop an incoming invasion of Planet Earth. Fuerza, the company's second comic title and based on Henriquez' first award-winning short-action film of the same title, looks to expand on the exciting characters already on its creator's first foray into the big screen.

With these two new stories launched, it's clear that HenryQ Comics' unique vision is set to make a big impact in the entertainment industry and give underrepresented characters their chance to shine.
