New Jersey Vision Associates Announces New Dry Eye Center of Excellence
New Jersey Vision Associates has added a Dry Eye Center of Excellence to its ophthalmology practice in Bloomfield, NJ. The Center uses state-of-the-art nonsurgical and surgical techniques to diagnose and develop custom treatments for patients who experience dry eye symptoms.
6.8% of the United States adult population (approximately 16.4 million people) have been diagnosed with dry eye disease (D.E.D.), according to National Health and Wellness Survey statistics. Dry eye symptoms typically occur in both eyes and include stinging, burning, or scratchiness;
"As individuals age, they are more likely to experience dry eye disease and blepharitis. In addition, our dependence on computers, tablets, and phones also contributes to dry eye. Therefore, it has become important to create the Dry Eye Center of Excellence for our patients' benefit," said Dr. Vogel. "We use the latest diagnostic equipment and FDA-approved technologies to pinpoint and treat the root causes of dry eye disease. With customized treatment plans, our patients can experience less discomfort and vision impairment."
