After the Chill Bumps, Sobs and Mind Blowing 'Zaps', Questions Abound. We have Answers!
The Hot Tears Flowed Uncontrollably as I fell to my Knees, Broken and Undone. Something had happened, but What? More Importantly, What Do I Do?
It captures a story as old as time itself: 'the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds'. [2 Corinthians 10:4]
If we are ignorant of what we have in Christ, (bought and paid for by the Precious Blood of Jesus), we will 'cast' aside what is best in favor of what feels or looks good.
Sadly, if you asked five Christians, 'How to live a Christian life'? you'd probably receive ten different answers—all wrong.
The truth is most Christians have no clue about Christian living. So, out of habit we try to 'fit in'.
And if that fails, we switch to a series of Christian works:
1. I will keep this doctrine (e.g. Sabbath, abstain from pork, cancel all celebrations, strict dress for women)
2. I will read 10 chapters from the Bible each day (to gain favor with man and God)
3. I will pray for three hours each day (to gain favor with man and God)
4. I will go to church every time the doors are open (to gain favor with man and God)
5. I will faithfully serve my community (to gain favor with man and God)
6. I will give to the poor (to gain favor with man and God)
Jesus wants to enjoin a relationship with you today. You know that Jesus loves you, that He died for you and is soon to return, but what does all this really mean? Why did He do this?
To find out more about your heritage, read the Bible, especially the Gospels.
Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus, all the time, about everything (1 Thessalonians 5:17). He likes to hear our prayers.
This will prepare you for the times that you are facing hard choices and need to 'know what to do'.
Every Christian needs to 'sense' where God is leading them.
You have been saved by grace through faith, apart from any works of your own (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If God started the work in you, He promises to finish it (Philippians 1:6).
God bless you as you continue to mature in your faith!
