Unique New Alphabet Book Brings Reader Along on a Playful Journey Through the Water Cycle

PAWTUCKET, R.I. - March 3, 2022 - PRLog -- There are many alphabet books available on hundreds of topics. Yet to date, no alphabet book has covered the importance of something we all need and rely on every day—water. And it was because of this and her personal love of nature that author Ann English was inspired to create one. The release is timed in March with both Groundwater Awareness Week (March 6-12) and World Water Day 2022 (March 22, theme – Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible). The book was created as a resource aimed children who want to learn more about the topic.

Filled with richly colored visuals and accompanied by a whimsical and informative verse, A is for Aquifer teaches children the significance of the water cycle in all its forms. And along the way, it reveals those delicate water relationships that we all rely on to survive and thrive.

Ann English is a landscape architect with a life-long love of plants and nature. She spent many happy hours outside exploring local ponds and streams when she was growing up and continued that in her professional life. She is a designer and educator who focusses on restoring ecosystem function, often using plant-based systems. Ann has degrees in American History / Architectural History, Regional Planning and Landscape Architecture, has three grown children and two grandchildren, and lives in Maryland with her husband Don and dog Murphy.

Clarissa Libertelli is a freelance artist born and raised in the DC area whose work often centers on environmental themes. Her illustrations have been featured in everything from children's books to community composting guides.

A Is For Aquifer is available from www.amazon.com Ingram Wholesalers, through the author's website at www.annenglish.com and from its publisher at www.stillwaterpress.com.
