The programs will include gait analysis, proper stretching and safety techniques for runners returning to the sport following an injury. The program was designed and is run by Sarah Bent PT, DPT. Bent graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT with her Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2017 and with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. Bent is a former Division I Cross Country runner, which led to her interest in orthopedic therapy and sports rehabilitation. Bent completed her final clinical rotation at Peak where she gained experience with pelvic floor diagnoses and also plans to pursue a specialty in women's health. "It can be frustrating for runners to return to their sport after an injury and navigating how they get back up to speed," said Eric Edelman, PT, Founder of Peak Physical & Sports Performance. "With a focus on safety and preventing re-injury the "Return to Run" program is a great addition to our services."
