Clear Choice Dermatology partners with American Red Cross to host a community blood drive

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - Feb. 10, 2022 - PRLog -- Amid the national blood shortage crisis, Clear Choice Dermatology will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Thursday, February 24th, from 10 AM to 3 PM at 123 C Ave Lake Oswego, OR 97034.

Free skin cancer screenings and free cosmetic consultations will be offered to all new patient donors. Screenings and consultations will be provided by our physician assistants Mark Davis PA-C and Taylor Pottatz PA-C.

Blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer blood donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.

"The nation is experiencing a blood shortage. We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients in local hospitals have enough to supply. There's no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life."

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative, and B negative.
