Howard County Courageous Conversations (https://www.hococourageousconversations.com/the-history) was formed in 2017 by a coalition of faith leaders to bring people together to share and learn from each other's perspectives on race, ethnic and religious bias; and in the process build bridges of cooperation and mutual respect in our community.   This effort was championed by the late Honorable Elijah E. Cummings (https://www.hococourageousconversations.com/honorable), Maryland State Delegate Vanessa Atterbury and Reverend Dr. Robert A.F. Turner.

The dialogs are based on curriculum originally developed by Essential Partners (https://whatisessential.org/impact-stories/courageous-conversations-about-race-and-faith-maryland), made possible by the Horizon Foundation (https://www.thehorizonfoundation.org/portfolio/3344/).

The 2022 Howard County Courageous Conversations dialog series theme is "Standing Together as Allies" and begins on Tuesday, February 1st.  To learn more about Howard County Courageous Conversations, please visit their website (https://www.hococourageousconversations.com/).
