The Growing Issue Of Unregulated And Non-Accredited TEFL And TESOL Certification Programs

CHICAGO - Jan. 12, 2022 - PRLog -- ACTEFLC statement, clarifying our reasons for declining accreditation status for ESLinsider.

ACTEFLC accredits online distance learning and in-class international TEFL/TESL/TESOL certification course programs.

The first step towards ACTEFLC Fully Accredited TEFL Course Provider status is for the institution seeking accreditation to submit a Company Statement. The Company Statement must include the following information:

• the type(s) of TEFL/TESL/TESOL courses offered by the institution.
• a detailed breakdown of the institution's course(s) curriculum(s).
• when the institution was established and the capacity in which it operates as a legal business entity.
• a summary of key events in the institution's history.
• a detailed breakdown of the institution's company structure and staff hierarchy.
• details of any past or current accreditations awarded to the institution.
• the institution's vision for the next 5 years of its business operations.
• the reason(s) for the institution applying for ACTEFLC accreditation.

The institution's Company Statement will be assessed by the Accreditation Assessment Panel. The institution will be informed of the decision of the Accreditation Assessment Panel within 15 working days of ACTEFLC receiving the institution's Company Statement.

ACTEFLC feels it noteworthy, and in the interests of the public, that ESLinsider TEFL (of no certain fixed address) applied for ACTEFLC accreditation in 2021.

The result of the process of this accreditation application was a negative outcome - the main reason being the program was unable to progress from the elementary stages of the submission of credible business information.

ACTEFLC considers it noteworthy to publish this press release because ESLinsider TEFL has, upon receiving a negative outcome to its application for ACTEFLC accreditation status, chosen to retaliate online through the publication of misinformation - such as claiming that ACTEFLC is a fake organization and that ACTEFLC has a business relationship with one of the TEFL programs that we Fully Accredit (tefl online pro).

These ESLinsider statements are false and have been published in order to intentionally mislead the public.

It is in the professional opinion of ACTEFLC that any TEFL or TESOL certification program that acts so poorly, as a result of being denied accreditation status, should be approached with caution by international TEFL and TESOL students.

We would like to reiterate that ESLinsider TEFL (Mr. Ian Patrick Leahy) is not accredited by ACTEFLC, and that any subsequent online retaliations by ESLinsider should be taken in the context of having been unsuccessful in the accreditation application process.
