Woods has been trained specifically to play as a defensive end or tackle. Upon his graduation from Murray State, Bishop had the opportunity to show his skills in front of scouts at many different bowl games, including the Tropical Bowl. His talents and football skills are what sealed the deal for Bismarck when deciding to sign him for the upcoming season. The Bucks have acquired a stellar defensive lineman who will do everything in his power to bring home a championship to North Dakota. "I'm so grateful for this opportunity to play again," says Woods."I just needed someone to believe in me as much as I believe in myself. The Bismarck Bucks is a professional indoor football team in the Indoor Football League (IFL). The Bucks originally began playing in the CIF but then transitioned to the IFL in 2019, for their inaugural season with their new league. The Bucks are the third indoor team to play in Bismarck at the Bismarck Event Center. In their inaugural season, the Bucks struggled going 2-12. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last season in 2021, they proceeded to post season play, where they ultimately lost to the Massachusetts Pirates in the first round. The Bucks are led by head coach Rod Miller who is hopeful that he will bring home a championship to Bismarck. In 2021, the Indoor Football League had active teams in Spokane, Washington; San Jose and San Diego, California; Phoenix, Tucson and Prescott Valley, Arizona; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Frisco, Texas; Bismarck, North Dakota; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Des Moines, Iowa; Moline, Illinois; Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin; Worcester, Massachusetts and Louisville, Kentucky. The Pirates ousted the Rattlers in the United Bowl 37-34 to claim the IFL Championship title. For the 2022 season, the IFL has new expansion teams in Las Vegas, Nevada and Columbus, Ohio giving the IFL 16 active teams.
