Alexander Arntzen's Last Man Down Original Score to be Released By Alpha 7 MusicBy: Projection PR When discussing his work on the film Alexander says, "Scoring Last Man Down was a Film Composer's dream job! I got to write old school Hollywood Blockbuster Hero and Villain themes. A blend of Orchestral and Electronic music complimenting each other. Using certain "found sounds" like the cocking of a Shotgun into the downbeats on certain tracks added a unique character to it as well. Fansu (the Director) gave me such creative freedom and fortunately, we were very much on the same wavelength for what we both wanted this score to be. It is sometimes a throwback to classic 80s action movies, mixed with a modern almost horror laden sound of a movie of the present day. I even got to create an Action movie version of "In the Hall of the Mountain King" during a huge shootout scene. All in all, I think it is one of my best and most complete scores to date. I hope people enjoy the film and music, as much as I did being a part of making it!" The Last Man Down synopsis reads: After civilization succumbs to a deadly pandemic and his wife is murdered, John Wood (Stisen) – a special forces soldier – abandons his duty and becomes a hermit in the Nordic wilderness. Years later, a wounded woman appears on his doorstep. Maria Johnson (Kent) is an escaped lab rat, and her pursuers believe her blood is the key to a worldwide cure. Though John is hesitant to get involved, all doubts are cast aside when he discovers Maria's pursuer is none other than Commander Stone, the man that murdered his wife some years ago.
