| Walter Art Gallery Debuts "Face & Form" the work of David AmsellemBy: The Walter Art Gallery David has been drawn to create on paper for as long as he can remember. He started with pencil on paper, then ink on paper and always with a special interest in human form. He continued with his drawings for many years until venturing off to explore figurative work in watercolor. He has now been creating with watercolor for over twenty years. Through his formal training and career as a physical therapist, Amsellem has expert knowledge of human physiology, and just as importantly, he is exposed to human challenges, human emotions, and human triumphs. His longtime observation of the human spirit and his love of art has provided Amsellem a valuable combination to convey the unique beauty of people in his figurative paintings. Amsellem has devoted many hours to honing his artistic techniques in workshops, demonstrations, critiques and in collaboration with numerous highly experienced and notable watercolor artists. He has displayed his work and received awards in local, national and international shows and accomplished signature membership with local, state, regional, and international watercolor societies. The Walter Art Gallery hosted an artists' reception for "Face and Form" on Friday, July 23, 2021 and there is now a video tour of the show on our Facebook page. In addition, we are happy to host small groups and individuals to visit the gallery by appointment. To make an appointment email us at gallery@thewalterhive.org. "Face and Form" will run through August 20, 2021. For more information about The Walter Art Gallery or the featured artist visit http://www.walter- End
