Hilltop Ski Area Announces Grand Opening for Anchorage's First Lift-Assisted Bike ParkJoin Hilltop for a day on the trails, food from local vendors Grizzly Dogs and Jeepney 907, outdoor beer garden from Broken Tooth, and free coffee from Kaladi's Brothers. APE Entertainment will be DJing the event, and event goers can also check out the photo booth from Quintillion and a repair station by Chain Reaction Cycles. There will be opportunities to win fun prizes provided by Kendall Toyota and much more in store. The grand opening event takes place at Hilltop Ski Area, located on 7015 Abbott Rd in Anchorage. Events are scheduled from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., but the bike park will be open for use until 7 p.m. The ribbon-cutting will take place at 11:45. You can purchase lift tickets for the event on Hilltop's website, which includes passes priced at $30 for adults, $25 for military, and $20 for children. You can also find information on 10-day passes, group rates, and more. The bike park has trails for all skill levels, including the Gnarnia trail for beginners and the Schralp d'Huez for intermediate riders. Advanced riders will enjoy the Taco Sauce trail and the Osteoblast Pro Jump Line. The pump track is no charge to use and is for all skill levels. The Hilltop staff thanks the community for their continued support and making the opening of the new bike park possible. Trevor Bird, Hilltop Ski Area's General Manager, is excited for the future of the park. "We are so excited to see the past 18 months of this project come together. I can't wait to see all of the riders at various skill levels test out the park.
