JPA Workspace's Winner with a Social Impact

The social and environmental commitment of Hertfordshire business woman Fiona Edwards has been recognised at the National Business Women's Awards.
ST ALBANS, U.K. - July 28, 2021 - PRLog -- Fiona, Head of Sustainability at JPA Workspaces, was announced as the gold winner of the Social Impact Award at an awards ceremony held in London on 22 July.

The Social Impact Award was created to recognise women who embed socially and environmentally responsible practices into their business. Under Fiona's leadership, JPA has developed a circular economy business model that limits the company's environmental impact at the same time as helping local charities and community organisations. The award-winning company only provides sustainably-sourced furniture and works hard to ensure that everything being replaced is reused, repurposed or recycled so nothing is sent to landfill. JPA is certified carbon neutral but is committed to becoming Net Zero by 2030.

Fiona was understandably thrilled with the recognition: "I'm delighted to win this award on behalf of all our incredible team at JPA – it's the sum total of everyone's hard work and passion that enables us to do what we do. We want to make a positive impact on our community and environment through our business, and have managed to find a way to do that through our project management, furniture and related services which are local, sustainable and high quality. Our commitment to being Net Zero by 2030, and keeping our carbon neutral status and policy of sending zero waste to landfill are reflected in our furniture planning and maximisation services, furniture supply, end-of-life recycling and community rehoming programme. Well done team JPA Workspaces, I am so proud and quite emotional!"

Working with winning clients

Fiona wasn't alone in her success at the awards evening. Client Nicole Sadd from Rothamsted Enterprises won the coveted Business Leader of the Year award. Fiona said: "It's a marvellous achievement in such a difficult year, making the evening a double celebration for Hertfordshire businesses. JPA and Rothamsted have worked closely together for some time, and we recently furnished the new flexible working spaces based in Rothamsted's Russell Building."
