Women in Business to explore best ways to jump-start your business at July 7 networking event

Starting at 5:15 p.m., the program will feature a panel of five guest speakers that will share tips and common misconceptions in their areas of expertise. Panelists include Suzanne Boy, Teri Hansen, David Marcantonio, Lynn Rasnake and John Schlager. The program will be moderated by Elizabeth Goldbach from the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Boy is the founding partner, attorney and board-certified specialist in labor and employment law for Boy Agnew Potanovic, PLLC. Passionate about resolving workplace issues, she represents businesses and local government entities of all sizes and frequently helps conduct training sessions, perform wage and hour audits and draft handbook policies.
Hansen is the founder, president and creative director of Priority Marketing, a full-service marketing, public relations, advertising and digital marketing firm. Recognized by PRNEWS among the nation's 2020 Top Women in PR, Hansen has helped hundreds of businesses and organizations differentiate their brands from competitors and achieve outstanding results, while furthering the missions of many local nonprofits.
Marcantonio is the founder and president of One Source Business. With more than 26 years of experience in commercial and business financing, he founded One Source Business Capital to assist business owners in securing the capital funding they need for success.
Rasnake is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor for Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, P.A. She is known for her expertise in business consulting, business taxation, construction business consulting, and medical and dental practice consulting and assists clients with strategic insights to drive success to their businesses.
Schlager is a partner at Inceptus, a company specialized in cybersecurity solutions. With 20 years of experience in large-scale IT enterprises, he has designed and deployed security programs that provide protection against threats to some of the most at-risk organizations in the public and private sectors.
The networking event will be held from 5:15 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7 at Florida Repertory Theatre, located at 2267 First St. in Fort Myers. Parking is available at the Florida Repertory lot on Bay Street.
This month's Scholarship Sponsor is Busey Bank. The nonprofit spotlight is the Florida Small Business Development Center at FGCU, which provides tools, strategies and expertise to help Florida's business community thrive.
