Former Dallas Cowboys All-Star Greg Ellis' Production 'Juneteenth the Play' Set to Air Today on ABC

DALLAS - June 19, 2021 - PRLog -- Former Dallas Cowboys All-Star Greg Ellis continues to make landmark achievements in community leadership as well as through his work as a progressive playwright and producer.

Greg Ellis is preparing for the official television premiere of his original work "Juneteenth the Play" airing today on ABC Network. As an original theatrical work written and produced by Greg Ellis, "Juneteenth the Play" tells the powerful story of Juneteenth and its significance as "Freedom Day" for African Americans. "Juneteenth the Play" is scheduled to air today on June 19, 2021, at 7:00 pm Central on ABC Television Channel 8.2.

This year's television premiere of the production follows the 2020 successful streaming event of "Juneteenth the Play". In addition to last year's streaming event, Greg Ellis stepped out in leadership on the national media stage again in 2020 to promote Juneteenth to become a national holiday. Ellis appeared on ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, MSN News, TMZ and other major outlets across America. The Dallas Cowboys and NFL also partnered with Ellis in raising recognition of Juneteenth with him as well as his production, "Juneteenth the Play". Greg Ellis became an NAACP Image Award Contender in 2020 for "Juneteenth the Play".
