Filmmakers from Broken Gaieté, Super Stoned Scary Stories, Crawl, Dying Breed, Artik, Permafrost, Stardust Memory, Never Mime, Vengeance Saloon, Happy Anniversary, Elle's Hypothesis, Capital Barbie, Before, and Carl the Exorcist along with their cast and crew came out to walk the red carpet, get photos and interviews with the filmmakers.

"We created a red carpet event where filmmakers across the state could come out and talk about their film, bring their cast and crew together for photos, interviews, and press. We've done over 1,500 red carpets including the Oscars, Emmys, set visits, premieres and more so we understand the importance for filmmakers and press to talk about their project and how they made it," Piché added.

The team for the inaugural event included local journalist, Georgina Hahn, UNM students, and recent grad, Daniel Ward, Liberty Stalnaker, Noah Solomon, and RCR News Media's JD Piché, who has been a producer for the past 12 years.

The RCR News Media team not only captured video interviews but shared over 270 photos of the cast, crew, and filmmakers on the red carpet set up for the event also giving filmmakers a chance to meet others who came from around the state and get refreshments in the VIP Lounge area set up outside to keep the event Covid safe.

Photos from the event are posted on Flickr and on RCR News Media's social media pages https://www.flickr.com.
