Free Covid-19 Testing and Free Covid-19 Vaccinations

GOLDSBORO, N.C. - April 29, 2021 - PRLog -- GOLDSBORO - Rebuilding Broken Places CDC, in keeping with our commitment to serving our community, is pleased to announce our Free Covid-19 Testing (drive-up) and Vaccination event on May 8^th from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Greenleaf Vision of Faith Community Center, 2105 North William Street, Goldsboro. The event will offer free food boxes and a free boxed lunch for every participant. The Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, the president and senior lecturer of Repairers of the Breach, Senior Pastor of Greenleaf Christian Church and Board Chair Emeritus of RBPCDC is committed to working with everyone to get this vaccine into the arms of our community.

As Dr. Barber told ABC News in March, "This is not a situation where you can say, 'we're going to vaccinate the wealthy, we're going to vaccinate the middle class, but we're not going to vaccinate the poor and the least of these because the bottom line is either everybody gets out of this ditch or nobody gets out of this.".

"Assuring that vaccines are available for our community is critical.  People of color have been adversely impacted by this virus and vaccination hesitancy may further exacerbate the impact.  We want to be part of the solution and help reduce community spread", said John Barnes, C.E.O. of Rebuilding Broken Places CDC.
