Information Security Executive Suzanne Gorman Joins Global Learning Systems as Vice President
Known for designing and implementing comprehensive information security programs with an emphasis on security awareness training, Gorman has spent much of her 35-year career on Wall Street leading large Information Security teams, including a 15-year stint with the New York Stock Exchange. Most recently, she served in a similar role at KnowBe4, where she provided guidance to clients on the utilization of the company's security awareness program resources and assisted the sales team in addressing the needs of enterprise customers.
"Suzanne joins GLS with an impressive track record in information security," said Larry Cates, CEO at GLS. "She brings tremendous industry experience and insights in the areas of security awareness training, security architecture, and regulatory compliance and governance that will help ensure the cybersecurity readiness of our customers across diverse industries."
"It is an honor to be joining the Global Learning Systems executive team," said Gorman. "While working at KnowBe4, I often heard customers asking for consistency in look, feel and features across all their training modules, and I am happy to say that GLS does a great job in this area. Also, it's rare to be able to capture employees' attention for a 45-minute training module, but GLS' customizable materials and assessments do just that. We have an engaging array of games, shock and awareness videos, IQ challenges, role-based training and security shorts, along with strong foundational training and compliance modules. I'm looking forward to working with these robust tools to design successful security awareness programs for our GLS customers."
Gorman has been an active contributor on numerous government councils and advisory committees at both state and federal levels. She has served as the chairperson of the Financial Services Information Sharing Analysis Center (FS/ISAC) and ISAC Council and has testified before Congress on "Cybersecurity for The Homeland." She was honored by Information Security Magazine as one of the top 25 most influential women in the information security industry, and Network World named her one of "The 50 Most Powerful People in Networking."
