ST. JOHNS, Fla. - March 3, 2021 - PRLog -- Kimberly Mullins, owner of The Tutoring Club of St. Johns has developed the Academic Mentorship Program (AMP) to help scholastically challenged students become more confident learners. According to Mullins, the rigorous new program provides students with regular check-ins from a personal academic coach who guides them through planning his or her academic days and teaches each student executive functioning skills. The program is developed for young people who attend public and private schools from sixth grade to 12th grade. Coursework includes specific skill development for students with learning challenges, and those who cannot manage an agenda and are likely to struggle with study skills, homework completion, organization, time management, maintaining good grades, test preparation, and using an agenda, among others.

During the program and upon completion, the skill sets learned can also help parents eliminate schoolwork battles and provides the student with a sense of routine, responsibility, and extra support.

For example, the Tutoring Club offers a Robust AMP or RAMP schedule for sixth through 12th graders for up to two hours per week for one month with enrollment requirements in the Club's tutoring classes. Another program is the Guided AMP or GAMP program for sixth through 12th-grade students, two to three times per week, for a total of 1.5 hours of instructional time weekly, and enrollment in tutoring. Graduation requirements are included in the coursework such as building a personalized weekly agenda with all homework and quizzes, working independently, and testing without assistance.

The Tutoring Club of St Johns locations include 605 State Rd. 13, Suite 109 in Fruit Cove, Fla. and 2851 County Road 210 W., Suite 112 in St. Johns, Fla. For more than 10 years, the center has served St. Johns County students from kindergarten to 12th grade to college prep with coursework designed to increase students' confidence and academic competence. The organization has helped many students who have relocated to St. Johns County schools to fill skill gaps from previous schools while earning top grades and confidence.
