AKCP Adds RADIUS Authentication Protocols to SP2+ and SPx+
AKCP, the world's oldest and largest supplier of networked wired and wireless sensor solutions has implemented RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) authentication protocols on their sensorProbe+ devices.
RADIUS is a standardized client-server networking protocol for passing authentication requests to an identity management system. It defines a set of rules that govern the communication between a device (RADIUS client) and a database of users (RADIUS Server). It allows devices from multiple vendors to communicate their authentication credentials to gain access to a network.
RADIUS on AKCP sensorProbe+
AKCP has implemented RADIUS for all sensorProbe+
RADIUS is also supported on the AKCP securityProbe base units with 2x authentication and 2x accounting servers.
Implementing a RADIUS server is a security measure to ensure your organizations' information remains private. It provides a centralized user access management system with the ability to define unique network permissions on a per-user or group basis. With the addition of RADIUS on the AKCP sensorProbe+
Radius Authentication is an optional licensed feature. Please contact your local dealer for more details.
