When my fitness business suddenly went online

SWINDON, U.K. - Jan. 28, 2021 - PRLog -- As a face to face weight loss coach my business suddenly had to adapt into the online world when Covid 19 struck in the uk. This was certainly not only a shock but a quick learning curb on how to run my personal training business purely on a online basis!

Fortunately l have found away not only to deliver sessions to my existing clients and keep them motivated throughout the pandemic, l also have managed to reach out to a lot more clients remotely. This has been great being able to help more people achieve their weight loss goals from the comfort of their owns homes.

The way l start off with a new client is going through all the information in the consultation forms they have sent me and really focusing on what my clients want to achieve. Once this is completed l do a posture assessment observing my clients so l can see where my clients need to improve strength and flexibility. I do this all from the power of a zoom link which l send to my clients via email then this will bring them through into my home gym.

What's really great about the set up is as a client you don't need lots of equipment or a gym! All l say to people that train with me is to have few items like a mat, stability ball and maybe somd hand held dumbbells. (Obviously if you don't have weights, we can do bodyweight exercises).

These are my top tips for making sure the online sessions work well
  • Make sure you are using a laptop or tablet with good screen size. Ideally screen size should be 14 inches minimum.
  • Have enough space around you so your not bashing into things.
  • Pick a room with just you in it so there are no unwanted distractions.
  • Make your device is fully charged up and you have good internet connection.
  • Wear breathable clothing and appropriate footwear so your not uncomfortable during the session.
  • Maybe have a fan nearby to stop you from over heating.
  • Keep hydration up during the workouts.
  • Make sure you have eaten at least a minimum of 2 hours before your workout to make sure you have enough energy to complete it.
