INK! (Investing in Kids) receives $2,500 "A Community Thrives" operating grant

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Dec. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- The St. Johns County Education Foundation, which operates as INK! (Investing in Kids), leads efforts to benefit educators and students of the St. Johns County, Fla. public school district. The nonprofit was announced as a grant recipient of the 2020 A Community Thrives, a grantmaking and crowd-funding program from USA TODAY NETWORK and part of The Gannett Foundation. INK! will receive a $2,500 operating grant to benefit its Five Learning Years (FLY) program.

FLY is designed to improve children's school readiness with the goal to increase graduation rates. The support of FLY will help to ensure that all St. Johns County children, regardless of socio-economic circumstances are ready for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. In 2019, INK! also received funding from A Community Thrives, to benefit FLY.

A Community Thrives supports non-profit organizations with projects focused on community building and has helped to contribute more than $12 million since 2017. This year, A Community Thrives engaged participants in 45 states.
