ADVANTEC-USA Donates 3,500 KN95 Masks to City of San Diego for Operation Shelter to Home

IRVINE, Calif. - Dec. 9, 2020 - PRLog -- ADVANTEC Consulting Engineers, a California leader in Transportation, Smart Mobility, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Traffic Engineering, has donated 3,500 KN95 masks to the City of San Diego to help protect essential convention center staff and public safety officers from COVID-19.

The donation was initiated by ADVANTEC's leadership team who learned about the need several weeks ago when San Diego's Mayor-elect and regional partners visited the convention center to discuss the role of Operation Shelter to Home in protecting the health of San Diegans experiencing homelessness and transitioning individuals to longer term housing.

"We strive to help the public agencies we serve, not only in our daily work to improve traffic and safety on our roadways, but also in meeting the needs of the community."

The masks were delivered to the San Diego Convention Center following consultation with the city and recognition of the high demand for masks. City of San Diego Donations Management Unit Leader for the Emergency Operations Center shared in a letter to ADVANTEC:

"There are so many needs during this COVID-19 pandemic, and we appreciate you reaching out to us to help. The donation made by ADVANTEC will help to protect convention center and public safety staff who are working to support Operation Shelter to Home and help San Diego's homeless and transitioning individuals."

ADVANTEC is also planning additional donations for essential workers in southern California.
