![]() Florida's "Create it Here!" program sets submission deadlineBy: Feature Florida Partnerships, Inc. "We established this program as the first key venture of our overarching 'Keep it Here!' campaign and have had a healthy response since its launch in late September," says FFP executive director Chris Ranung. "Although we have set a deadline to handle this first wave of submissions, we intend to grow the program through all three phases and offer it as an opportunity to Florida screenwriters several times every year." FFP Vice President of production and development Elayne Schmidt adds that "the goal is to provide tangible resources to aspiring screenplay creators in our state and, by doing so, identify projects that are Florida-centric and have real potential to be financed, produced, cast, and crewed right here at home." Feature Florida Partnerships is a motion picture industry non-profit committed to nurturing indigenous Florida filmmaking and revitalizing independent feature film and episodic television production in the Sunshine State.
