Wanderful Releases Anti-Oppression Toolkit for Travel & Culture Creators

BOSTON - Oct. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Wanderful, the global community specializing in helping all women travel the world, has released the Anti-Oppression Toolkit for Travel & Culture Creators. The toolkit connects creators with resources  and webinars to make the travel industry equitable for people at all intersections of identity.

"The travel industry has not yet reckoned with its long record of actively harming Black and brown communities, and is lagging significantly in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices," said Wanderful's founder and CEO, Beth Santos. "We all have a role and responsibility in this and creators are in an especially unique position to effect change with their immense influence and power to connect communities far and wide."

The toolkit includes a comprehensive glossary of terms to lay a strong foundation in understanding the issues at hand, a how-to series on practicing diversity, equity, and inclusion in creator work, and an upcoming series of panels and webinars with travel industry leaders on how to effectively move towards anti-oppression.

"It's about time that the travel industry actively work to dismantle the systems of oppression that it has perpetuated – not just systemic racism, but systems that touch on all intersections of identity." says Justine Abigail Yu, co-creator of the Anti-Oppression Toolkit and Wanderful's Communications Manager.
