Actuated Medical Face Shields Available to Veterans through GMP Partnership

BELLEFONTE, Pa. - Oct. 14, 2020 - PRLog -- Actuated Medical, Inc. (AMI) recently received approval by the U.S. Government Services Administration to sell AMI's line of face shields to the U.S. Government. AMI's shields are available through Government Marketing and Procurement LLC (GMP), a CVE Verified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, on its Schedule 65llA contract, number 36F79719D0049, directly or on GSA Advantage.

The partnership brings together two diversity U.S. small businesses to offer an affordable, high quality face shield to U.S. Government. AMI, a certified woman-owned small business (WOSB), started manufacturing face shields to meet the growing demands for personal protective equipment (PPE) at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The shields are more durable than typical disposable face shields, with some customers wearing the same face shield for more than five months. They also fog less compared to competitive shields.

Easy to clean, the shields are constructed with polycarbonate and have 5-year shelf life. All materials are sourced from U.S. companies and built in AMI's ISO 13485 certified, FDA-compliant facility in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
