-- Lynn Bentley, President, Knobull, Inc. announced, "Our research engine aims to make academic information easily accessible to everyone! Our search service is ranked 4th by The Journal and 7th by Rasmussen College as an academic search engine which is simpler than Google, even in appearance."
Knobull does not claim to offer more results than Google. Instead, it removes results that are not related to science, academia and research. "The best thing about Knobull is that you can search for information related to your subject without getting distracted by sponsored links," Bentley said.
The system searches more than one billion documents including: web pages, books, journals, and newspapers. A few test searches suggest that our secure Research Engine searches most critical academic sites. Many students are missing out on a large chunk of scientific information, but Knobull resolves that issue.
Search options are the standard double quotes around phrases, minus sign to exclude documents containing a term, plus sign to include stop words and the Boolean OR. Next to each entry in the results list is an option to "Search this Site", which works well. Although searching is free, you may find that you have to pay for articles on some sites.
The Knobull platform for professional success is now live with thousands of student connections and is supporting students throughout the US and across most academic fields! The Knobull Mission is to move academic and career success forward with brave and productive collaboration. We can change education and industries for the better when we come together and speak up.
Bentley concludes, "Overall, our service does a excellent job of limiting your search to more serious scientific and academic information with few omissions, so it can be reliably used on its own."
