Network to End Hunger Announces Virtual Conference - The 10th Annual Sunshine Summit to End Hunger

TAMPA, Fla. - Oct. 5, 2020 - PRLog -- In the United States, 54 million people, including 18 million children, may struggle to put food on the table this year due to the effects of COVID-19. This October 29-30, the 2020 Sunshine Summit to End Hunger (SSEH), presented by the Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger, in partnership with Bread for the World and Florida Impact, will be hosted virtually for the first time ever. The event will take place each day from 9:00AM - 1:15PM EST and will provide organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum to learn, share, and network while exploring best practices in solving hunger.

The 10^th Annual SSEH is a free two-day high-impact event that will explore research, programs, and best practices related to this year's theme "Global Effects of COVID-19 on Food Systems and Local Effects on Emergency Feeding Efforts".  Sessions will be locally, nationally, and internationally focused on the experiences of families struggling with food insecurity and different response programs and techniques. The conference provide a virtual platform for 1,000 participants to address the most pressing challenges surrounding hunger and food insecurity. This event will provide organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum for sharing solutions to increase food security. Dynamic and educational program sessions will be presented by local, national, and global leaders in hunger and food relief.

The 2020 SSEH will welcome Feeding India's Founder, Ankit Kawatra, and Co-founder, Srishti Jain, as keynote speakers providing an international perspective on how Feeding India responded to feed their communities during COVID-19.
