Recently Justin Shapiro's song "World So Strange" was chosen to take part in a ten song compilation of artists titled "Corona Diaries" (Songs for a Pandemic) from Big Fuss Records.
Shapiro's biggest musical influences include Pearl Jam, Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, Dispatch, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Neil Young and others.
A Bethesda, Maryland native, Shapiro came onto the DC-area music scene in 2007. He developed his sound, fine tuning it, while playing in local bars and venues with his band Green River Junction.
Today Justin Shapiro is based in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida and he has a new album, "Away In Your Dreams". The set is a follow up to his 2018 "Campfire Party", which garnered Justin significant praise from outlets including the DCist, who called out the album for its laid-back, feel-good vibe.
Shapiro has a renewed energy and perspective today and delivers a prominent performance on "World So Strange".
"Corona Diaries" is available at streaming and download sites worldwide.
