Follow on Google News | Riverside Homebuilders Sales Manager Donating Portion of September Sales to Boys and Girls ClubBy: Riverside Homebuilders Shelton made the generous decision after meeting Chad Knight, the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Ennis, in his homebuying process and was inspired by his dedication to the organization. "I've been blessed with this position and it has given me the opportunity to give something more than I ever could before," Shelton said. "If I can help some wonderful kids out and give something back to a buyer who has been wonderful too, then that makes me happy." For more than 160 years, the Boys & Girls Club of America has worked to enable young people to "reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Through these efforts, 97 percent of Club teens across the nation graduate from high school and 88 percent expect to complete some kind of post-secondary education. Locally, Knight and his team operate three locations offering afterschool programs, summer programs and sports. He said these donations will go a long way in helping the Ennis branch to serve the community as school starts this fall. "It's huge right now especially while we're trying to recover from COVID-19 and being closed," Knight said. "It means a lot to our kids as well because it gives us the opportunity to provide them with more after school programming materials."
