Surex 2nd Annual Scholarship Announced!

BURLINGTON, Ontario - Aug. 25, 2020 - PRLog -- Hundreds of scholarship deadlines pass every month without students even knowing or applying for them. We're pleased to be holding our 2nd annual scholarship (https://www.surex.com/scholarship) once again. This will be a scholarship for Canadian students as they will be awarded a $1000 grant to go towards his or her education. The purpose of this scholarship is to help students achieve financial support to fund their education. Education is so important to so many students but as we all know, it can get expensive. That's why we want to help out! Last year's winner Chinonso Obeta used the money towards his education at the University of British Columbia.

Whether you're in high school or already in post-secondary education, a scholarship is a sure way to help you fund your education so you can come out of school without as much burdening debt. Here are some tips to help you if you're in the scholarship application process:

It's more than just grades: When it comes to scholarships, it's usually more than just about your marks in class. Although there are scholarships evaluated solely on GPA, there are other great scholarships you can apply to that compete on a different scale. Consider how you can make a difference outside of the classroom. Think about projects you're passionate about. Maybe you've started part-time work or have hopes of one day starting your own business. These are all good ideas to help you grow and elevate your game when applying for scholarships.

Know your options and get advice: Are you in high school and unsure about what options are available? Speak with a counsellor in grade 11 and 12 to see what requirements there are for different scholarships.
