AdvisorSmith Finds the Most Affordable Metro Areas in the West

NEW YORK - Aug. 6, 2020 - PRLog -- AdviorSmith, a leading small business resource that produces original studies about the economy, published its analysis that discovered the most affordable small, medium, and large metropolitan areas in 13 Western U.S. states.

The study examined 111 metropolitan areas in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Alaska, and Hawaii. AdvisorSmith used its Cost of Living Index to determine each area's cost of living by measuring the cost of food, housing, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and consumer spending in each metro area.

The metro areas were also compared and segmented by population size to find the top small, midsize, and large areas. Metro areas with population sizes of less than 150,000 residents were compared and labeled small. Midsize areas with 150,000 to 500,000 residents, and large areas with over 500,000 residents were also compared.

The study determined that the most affordable small, midsize, and large metros were Alamogordo, NM, Las Cruces, NM, and Albuquerque, NM.
