This webinar brings together policy leaders who will be discussing the new stimulus package for $205 billion for a major investment in a national high-speed rail network.
The webinar will focus on stimulating the U.S. economy creating jobs during and following the current pandemic shutdown, while also building the 21st century transportation system America needs. The proposed $205 Billion will also help bring back American manufacturing jobs for the short and long term by building the trains and materials here in America. Congressman Moulton was elected to Congress in 2014 following his military service in Iraq. He has been a long time supporter of high speed rail and understands the many benefits that a national high speed rail network will bring to America. Secretary LaHood served as the US Transportation Secretary during the Obama Administration. He led the process to set up the national high speed rail program by utilizing 2009 stimulus funds as seed money for the initial projects.
