SAN FRANCISCO - May 19, 2020 - PRLog -- Limelight Health, the leading provider of cloud-based enterprise software solutions delivering quoting and underwriting platforms for the employee benefits industry, has been named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Entrepreneur of the Year category and a Bronze Stevie® Award in Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year category in The 18th Annual American Business Awards®.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.'s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards will be virtually presented to winners during a live event on Wednesday, August 5. Tickets for the virtual event are now on sale.
More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Live Event of the Year, and App of the Year, among others.
Limelight Health CEO Jason T. Andrew was nominated in the Entrepreneur of the Year category for insurance, and Limelight Health was nominated for the Innovative Tech Company of the Year category up to 2,500 employees.
In 2019, Jason led Limelight Health in raising a $33.5M Series C financing round, growing revenues that contributed to their being listed in top 5% growth of 3,500 SaaS companies, filed a patent for their innovative Rating Configuration tool, and focused the company on fostering a dynamic remote-first work culture.
Limelight Health also secured partnerships with Principal Financial Group, Reliance Standard Life Insurance and other ancillary carriers to modernize and transform underwriting, quoting and workflow processes for the employee benefits industry.
"We're honored and humbled to be included with such great company. We extend our congratulations to everyone who has been nominated," said Jason T. Andrew, CEO and Co-founder of Limelight Health. "We have an amazing team and it is great to see the dedication and innovation that our team contributes daily to our growth and even better to see them recognized for that work."
More than 230 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners. Comments from the judges regarding Limelight's ability to scale effectively and efficiently included, "outstanding accomplishment in a relatively short time, to bring the company from concept through execution and then scale, winning the confidence of the industry and financiers."
"Despite the toughest business conditions in memory, American organizations continue to demonstrate their commitment to innovation, creativity, and bottom-line results," said Stevie Awards president Maggie Gallagher. "This year's Stevie-winning nominations are full of inspiring stories of persistence, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and compassion. We celebrate all of their stories and look forward to showcasing them during our virtual awards ceremony on August 5."
