ASBO International Joins Equitable, DonorChoose In Supporting Remote Learning Resources
The Keep Kids Learning program enables teachers serving low-income communities to send personalized educational care packages—ranging from shelf-stable groceries to books and building blocks—to their students' homes to help facilitate remote learning.
"It's imperative that all students have the resources they need to learn under these extraordinary circumstances,"
When Equitable was looking for ways to assist during the pandemic, they reached out to ASBO International to help identify the best way to reach these in-need communities. ASBO International was proud to guide Equitable in fulfilling their commitment of a $500,000 donation to benefit education.
"With so many great associations and worthy causes, we wanted to make sure we selected one with a mission that aligns with our own unwavering commitment to education." according to Fred Makonnen, Equitable Divisional Vice President.
"After extensive discussions with ASBO International leadership and staff, we decided to partner with DonorsChoose and their Keep Kids Learning initiative,"
