By: Blue Heart Records
A native of Melbourne, Australia, Bedford has performed with and been mentored by some of Australia's biggest blues artists. He has also had the honor of performing on stage in the USA with band members from great acts such as B.B. King, Albert Collins, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt and Wilson Pickett. He began playing in bars and clubs at 12 years of age and now, seven years later, works as a full-time musician. Bedford performs regularly as a solo artist, fronting his own band and is also the guitarist in both The Great Unknown and The New Savages. He is endorsed by Hagstrom Guitars, of Sweden.
"Good To Go," Bedford's sophomore album, is a 12 -song collection of originals with one cover, a blues-infused pop and rock showcase that entertains from the very first listen. Slated for worldwide release on May 22, the album is currently available for pre-save and pre-order at https://orcd.co/
Bedford says, "I'm SO stoked to be bringing out this album of my original work, it was an absolute blast recording these songs. I'm really looking forward to performing all of these tunes live, also."
"I've been watching this young man for a couple of years. He's dedicated, enthusiastic, diligent and energetic, as well as being accomplished. I'm delighted he is on Blue Heart Records," says Betsie Brown, Blind Raccoon.
According to Blue Heart Records' president Sallie Bengtson, "Charlie is no stranger to the blues community, having performed in the IBC Youth Showcase in 2017, 2018, and 2019. We are thrilled to have him in the Blue Heart Records family, and look forward to a bright future for this fine ambassador of a new generation of indie blues artists."
