HOUSTON - March 27, 2020 - PRLog -- Houstonians have weathered tough times in the past—Tropical Storm Allison, The Tax-Day Floods, Hurricane Harvey—but never has the city and its small business community experienced anything like the current COVID-19 Pandemic. Many small businesses are suffering and are unsure if they will survive. The Houston Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) will host a virtual conversation, Rebounding From Crisis with three-time Latina entrepreneur, Carolyn Rodz on Friday, April 3, 2020, at 1 PM CST.

NAWBO Houston Chapter President, Lisa N. Alexander, heard Rodz speak candidly about coming back from a business failure at the 2019 Governor's Small Business Forum for Women. "Carolyn was very open and honest about experiencing failure and what it took to start again," Alexander said. "I knew it was a conversation I wanted her [Rodz] to have with our chapter. When we originally planned this event, we had no idea we would be going through this national crisis. It turned out to be the perfect time to have this larger conversation," Alexander continued.

Rodz is the CEO of HelloAlice.com, a free AI-driven website, prioritizing women and underrepresented founders that helps business owners find the right path to start and grow their companies. In 2019, Alice announced that they along with Bumble, and Serena Ventures, led by Serena Williams, will provide access to critical growth resources, guidance, and small business opportunities for everyone with an entrepreneurial spirit. Rodz also created a luxury retail line that sold in over four hundred stores worldwide including Neiman Marcus, Harrod's, and Bloomingdales. She has been featured in Fortune and Fast Company and recognized by Inc. as a, 17 Women to Watch in 2017, and by Entrepreneur Magazine as a 2016 Woman to Watch.

NAWBO Houston upholds the National organization's mission of propelling women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide by strengthening the wealth-building capacity of its members. NAWBO Houston seeks to help women build healthy million-dollar businesses and does so through strategic programming and key events.
