DALLAS - March 20, 2020 - PRLog -- Music Meets The Boardroom (MMB), an organization focused on helping ambitious artists find purpose, self-empowerment and strategy to execute God's Vision for their gift. Hosted their first 2020 quarterly workshop via online during growing Coronavirus concerns.

The Saturday, March 14th, 2020 - Entertainment Law 101 Workshop, was designed to teach ambitious recording artists about common contractual agreements they may encounter throughout their music careers.

"Our goal is to change the narrative in which creatives show up in the world. It's important gifted people respect their talent by understanding how to protect their intellectual property and more." ~ MMB Owner, Latoya Cooper

During Saturday's online workshop, recording artists, producers, rappers, photographers and industry supporting professionals were given the opportunity to learn from DFW based Entertainment Attorney Emily Horton. The attendees were excited to experience such a rare opportunity to speak and strategize directly with the keynote speaker.

Attendees were able to walk through the process of filling out important business forms such as, split-sheets and collaboration agreements. They researched music industry laws, policies and common agreements artists should be using in their daily business practice, such as non-disclosure agreements, performance agreements, service agreements, copyright and trademark registration.

The workshop was interactive, participants carried out mini-presentations of their own to explain what they learned and how to apply it to their businesses. Before the online workshop was over attendees were able to network and exchange contact information. The Music Meets The Boardroom Workshop experience was a huge success!

"It's truly an honor to invest and pour into the creative community. We are dedicated to providing an open and safe place to have tough conversations artists normally do not have openly. Our goal is to help those in the creative community move forward, powerfully!"  ~ MMB Owner, Latoya Cooper
